"Did You Ever See A Dream Walking?" was composed by Harry Revel (1904-1958, music) and Mack Gordon (born Morris Gittler, 1904-1959, words). The sprightly tune was introduced in the "film Sitting Pretty" (1933), directed by Harry Joe Brown, starring Jack Oakie, Jack Haley, Ginger Rogers, and Thelma Todd (who is pictured in the collage on the "Tinsel Town Rebellion", 1981). The characters played by Oakie and Haley were loosely based on Paramount's real-life songwriting team (and authors of "Did You Ever See A Dream Walking?") Gordon and Revel, who show up in bit parts. No relation to the 1948 movie "Sitting Pretty", directed by Walter Lang, starring Robert Young, Clifton Webb, Maureen O'Hara, Richard Haydn, and Louise Allbritton.
