Michael Kocáb (Prague Press Conference, 1991): One day I was in Los Angeles and I said, that for me, what, they asked me, "What do you want to see here? Ocean, [...], dancing." I said, "I want only one thing—see Frank Zappa." They said, "It's impossible. That's totally crazy. It's easier make revolution in Czechoslovakia against Russians than to see Frank Zappa. It's easier to go to White House or go to, to space, you know, but this is not possible. They kick you out the bodyguards, the bodyguards in first second, you know. But I said, "Good, you are, you are— I want see him! And duet." FZ: I didn't have any reason to. I wasn't playing any concerts, I was working in the studio and when I'm in the studio I'm only typing on a computer, so I don't touch it. But I don't feel too bad, so, you know, it sounds strange to stand in the front of a loud amplifier on a bandstand, that's something that takes getting used to. But I'm comfortable.
